Job Description

A world leading oil & gas operating company is presently seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to work on a multi-billion dollar project in the Australasian region.
The main function of the role for the Lead Controls Engineer is to coordinate aspects of cost control and reporting, estimate development, and progress measurement for the project.
Other areas of responsibility include:
- Providing overall project cost, estimating, forecasting, progress measurement and change management leadership and expertise
- Supporting the project team and cost stewards with ongoing project cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and change management
- Monitoring and appraising the performance of the EPCM in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and control
- Assisting the project team and sub-project management in developing and reviewing cost corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions and/or plans are implemented
- Maintaining regular contact with other members of the cost and schedule organisation and with the company’s functional organisation
Suitable candidates will demonstrate thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, theories and concepts. The role also requires an individual with experience within the oil and gas industry.
